CENTER DIRECTOR
Rachel Savoie
Rachel started working for The Nest back in early 2023 as the Events Coordinator at The Nest Family Cafe and later took over the Social Media Coordinator role.
Rachel’s dedication to her work and her love and passion for early childhood education made her a perfect fit for the Director role at The Nest Family Center. Rachel’s toddler daughter and newborn son will join her every day at the Center. She cannot wait to be a part of something new and exciting for families in New Hampshire!
OWNER/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Jamie Getchell
Jamie is a mom to three sweet little ones, ages 8, 7, and 3! Her family recently welcomed a Bernedoodle named Clover. She and her husband, Ryan, are the owners and founders of both The Nest Family Cafe and The Nest Family Center.
Jamie grew up assisting in her mom’s home daycare where she developed a passion for working with children. Jamie has a background in law enforcement and even owned a home bakery for a short time. She is excited that The Nest Family Center will serve families in a new and unique way!
OWNER/MANAGER
Ryan Getchell
Ryan worked in the technology industry for 15 years before quitting his job in 2021 to pursue The Nest Family Cafe with Jamie. He held positions at a variety of companies and managed numerous clients simultaneously. His roles ranged from a business and data analyst to leading multiple engineering teams as a product manager delivering software solutions to over 30,000 customers.
Ryan’s specialty in data analysis and management is critical in creating and optimizing teams and processes at The Nest Family Center where he is responsible for IT, finances, payroll, and center operations.
RECEPTIONIST & ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Toni
Toni is the friendly face behind the reception desk each morning. Becoming a mom to two beautiful young children gave Toni a new outlook and appreciation for the early development years.
Toni is learning American Sign Language, has an obsession with Taylor Swift, and loves being a mama! She recently took on the added role of becoming one of our Associate Teachers!
RECEPTIONIST
Liz
Liz is our afternoon receptionist extraordinaire! She is a mom to 3 kids…11, 7, and 6.
After being at home for the past few years, she was looking for a welcoming work atmosphere to be a part of. She wanted to work with kids because they brighten her day and she gets to be silly and creative with them.
Liz has 3 dogs and 2 cats. She loves going to the beach and spending time outdoors as well as listening to music!
LEAD TEACHER
Dinah
Dinah has been working with children for over ten years. She loves traveling and got to visit both Israel and Greece last year! She enjoys arts and crafts and loves to paint, knit, crochet, and do embroidery.
She recently moved to New Hampshire from the Boston area and can’t wait to create fun memories with the little ones in her care!
LEAD TEACHER
Patience
Patience started as a Barista at The Nest Family Cafe and claims that the culture there became like a “second home”. Patience loves working with children and lives for that moment when something “clicks” and their faces light up with excitement and wonder.
Patience is a professionally trained baker and once owned and operated her own custom cake company. Her family owns an alpaca rescue! She is a mom to a sweet three year old girl who will be joining her each day at The Nest Family Center.
LEAD TEACHER
Elaine
Elaine comes to us with over 10 years of experience in childcare! She loves watching children grow and learn new things about the world around them. Elaine has two children of her own, enjoys gardening, 4-wheeling, and hiking in her down time.
Elaine lives on a horse farm and loves riding her horse named Chance. She hopes to hike all the national parks in the United States one day!
ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Tia
Tia was one of the first Baristas hired at The Nest Family Center. She has been part of The Nest family for over two years. Tia is studying Psychology at The University of Pittsburgh and hopes to become a Developmental Psychologist one day.
She loves creative activities like theater, dance, and crocheting. Tia loves the excitement that kids bring to each day and can’t wait to be a part of The Nest Family Center!
ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Wendy
Wendy loves watching children flourish and have fun! She is a mom to a beautiful three year old girl. Having a daughter of her own has shown her how passionate she is about working with kids.
Wendy has been a personal trainer for 14 years! She enjoys traveling, drawing, and the outdoors!
ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Lexi
Lexi does not have any children of her own, but she does have a kitten, Kota! Lexi started out as The Getchells’ babysitter many years ago. Jamie and Ryan have seen Lexi grow from a 16 year old babysitter to a young woman who recently graduated from Nursing school.
Lexi loves how honest children are. She enjoys exploring their minds and seeing how they view the world. She has been skydiving three times and loves a new adventure!
ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Shannon
Shannon loves working with kids because they bring joy to everyone around them. She loves the look on a child’s face when they learn something new. Shannon comes to us with over 15 years of experience as a paraprofessional. Her two year old daughter will be joining her at the Center!
Shannon is a woman of many talents - she even bowled in the women’s national bowling tournament in Reno, Nevada!
